Candidate Statement

My fellow Oregonians,

 I am honored to stand before you today as a candidate for the 2026 election for the Governor of Oregon. My name is Brittany Jones, as a proud witch, LGBTQIA2S+, indigenous, and a veteran I bring a unique perspective to the table.

I am running for Governor because I believe in the power of transparency, accountability, and government reform. Our government has strayed from its original purpose of serving the people, and I am committed to bringing it back to its core principles, to ensuring that our government works for the people, not for special interests.

 As an indigenous person I will hold space and amplify the voices of those who have been silenced for far too long, and I am committed to fighting for the rights and representation of all Americans, regardless of their background, race, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs.

 As a member of the LGBTQIA2S+ community, I know the importance of LGBTQIA2S+ rights. I will work to ensure equal rights and protections for all of us, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Love is love, and it is time for our government to fully embrace and respect the diversity of our nation. Upon being elected I will enact an executive order protecting drag queens, transgender people, and the marriage rights for all.

 One of my top priorities as a practicing Witch is to ensure the complete and clear separation of church and state, so that no religion or belief system is given preferential treatment by our government. I believe that everyone should have the freedom to practice their own faith, or choose not to practice any, without interference from the government, as our government should not impose beliefs on the American people through the unconstitutional laws we see being passed today.

 As a military veteran, I understand the importance of a strong and responsible national defense. I will work to bring transparency and accountability to our military operations within this state. I will also prioritize the well-being of our service members and veterans taking a firm stance to help end the 22 a day crisis we face.

I will work to remove the undue influence of special interests in politics and ensure that our government serves the best interests of the people, not corporate donors. Together, we can create a government that is transparent, accountable, and representative of all. Let us build a brighter future for our country, where everyone has equal opportunities and rights. My vision for America is a government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people, as it was originally intended.

 I humbly ask for your support and vote, and I promise to be a tireless advocate as Governor of Oregon. Join me in making history and together lets make America whole at last. Thank you, and may we embark on this journey to bring about positive change for our nation, united and determined.
